Thomas Cashin - Founder
Thomas is the sole developer of our original patent # US D 504,004 S which is dated April 19, 2005. He followed his first patent quickly with a second patent # US D 526,671 S dated August 15, 2006. Upon receipt of the second patent approval Thomas Cashin, inventor and owner founded Cap Kick Company of Houston, Texas to market Tag Along Towels™. Cap Kick Company filed for a registered trademark for Tag Along Towels™, March 9, 2012, and received final approval October 16, 2012.
Thomas spearheaded the growth of Cap Kick Company over the early years through his relentless pursuit of product modifications to meet the marketplace demand. During that time our unit sales saw consistent growth, which led to the development of additional products to meet customer needs and request. These existing line extensions in recent years have undergone additional improvements through research and development based on our customers’ feedback.
Thomas credits his days working in the Texas City oil refineries for giving him the Tag Along Towels™ idea. In the summers, it would get so hot, he and his co-workers would bring bath towels from home, soak them in cold water from the ice cooler and put them under there hard hats. Even though they had to be soaked in cold water frequently, the cold towels were an effective way to deal with the high humidity and hundred degree temperatures.
